Course information

The purpose of this (1) hour course is to discuss the process by which the Institute for Safe Medical Practices (ISMP) identifies high-alert medications; discuss how healthcare facilities identify which of these medications are incorporated into the high-alert medication policies, and how safe medication practices effect pharmacy and nursing workflows.

By the end of this course, you will have the skills to:

✔️ Discuss how your institution uses the medication administration safety recommendations.

✔️ Discuss the past, present, and future recommendations and practices for safe medication administration.
