Bioterrorism for Nevada Nurses

The purpose of this (4) hour course is to give the learner information regarding preparation for and response to bioterrorism. Although this course is designed to meet the Nevada state requirements, healthcare workers everywhere may benefit from the information provided in this module. For the purposes of this course, bioterrorism will include more than just biological agents. Discussion will include biological, chemical, radiological, and nuclear weapons. This course will take you through real-life scenarios where you will be tested on your steps to be prepared and respond to bioterrorism.

✔️ Delineate the categories of bioterrorism agents.

✔️ Delineate the categories of personal protective equipment.

✔️ Define Syndromic Surveillance and reporting procedures for acts of terrorism that involve biological agents.
