The purpose of this (2) hour course is to give you information about patient falls, patient’s risk for falls, fall risk assessment tools, and methods that will help to reduce the number of falls of patients in your care. 

By the end of this course, you will have the skills to:

✔️ Identify risk factors for falls.

✔️ Describe fall assessment tools that identify patients who are at risk for falling.

✔️ Document and communicate information about fall risks.

✔️ Identify individualized interventions that will decrease patients’ risk for falls.

✔️ Identify appropriate interventions following a patient fall based on individual history and assessment.
